As GCI embarks on our journey of leading the culinary future, I am reminded of Watts’s wisdom. At GCI, we don’t sit back and watch the world change around us. We plunge into the action headfirst, so we are always positioned to take the lead.
When I talk to people about advancements like artificial intelligence, they react with either excitement or apprehension. True, technologies once confined to the realm of science fiction now exist and rapidly alter the landscape of almost every industry. However, rather than fearing this change, I believe we must join the dance. By reimagining industries and job roles, we can protect workers while embracing technology’s ability to open the doors for a more prosperous tomorrow.
Additionally, the rise of tools like NFTs has introduced the world to an era of digital ownership, fostering a space for entrepreneurial artists to express themselves in a way that brings in sustainable revenue. At this intersection of technology and creativity, I see the spark for the brightest flames of progress.
GCI exists at that very intersection. To revolutionize the culinary world, we embrace technology that allows food enthusiasts to express themselves in a sustainable, creative, lucrative, and delicious way. Every day brings us closer to the May 2024 launch of our Flagship Immersion Program. Following a Discover, Engage, Create philosophy, we prioritize helping students deeply understand the ingredients and techniques that they use. As we begin admitting future leaders, I am excited to share that construction is making smooth progress, and the model dorm room is almost ready for their arrival. If you believe in experiencing hands-on learning, exploring international cuisines, and securing a sustainable food future, we welcome you to apply for the program.
I also take immense pride in the contributions of GCI’s two summer interns, whose hard work and innovative ideas have left a huge mark on the team. GCI will soon share their stories, which reveal the impressive potential of young minds when given the right environment to flourish.
As we near the end of summer, I challenge you to co-create the future by embracing innovation. Remember, the only way to stay ahead of the curve is to dare to step into the unknown and welcome the transformations that lie ahead.
