Embracing Resilience and Growth

It has been a meaningful month filled with holidays and reflections. Today, as we celebrate Yom HaAtzma'ut, Israeli Independence Day, marking 76 years since Israel's declaration of independence in 1948, I am reminded of the incredible growth and resilience of our nation. Despite the challenges around us, I am grateful every day for the existence of Israel and all that it represents for our people, my family, and friends worldwide.

This past month was particularly special as I had the opportunity to spend Passover with loved ones, including my parents, in-laws, and other family members. The holiday began with a unique experience as we gathered for candle lighting amidst a barrage of rockets, prompting us to seek shelter. Despite the uncertainty, our spirit remained unbroken. We emerged from the bomb shelter to continue our traditions, celebrating the holiday with hope and resilience.

Turning our focus to GCI, I am thrilled to share that we have accepted two more students, bringing us closer to filling our first cohort and preparing for cohort 2. Equipment shipments have arrived, with three containers successfully making their way to Israel. Construction continues to move forward steadily, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to our vision.

We recently hosted a successful Farm Summit to strategize our approach and solidify plans for our farm. Despite the challenges posed by the current circumstances, we are dedicated to making informed decisions and setting an official start date.

While navigating these challenging times, we hold onto the belief that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Our resolve to move forward remains unshakeable, fueled by the opportunity to create something extraordinary here in Israel.

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to pursue our vision at GCI, despite the obstacles we face. Together, we will continue to overcome challenges, always moving forward with determination and optimism.

As we embrace this new month, let us carry the spirit of resilience and growth forward. May we always find light in the midst of darkness, and may our journey be filled with blessings and hope.

Wishing you and your loved ones continued strength and joy.

L’chaim!
